CARL S. ALBERT (1962-1995)

Four years already my friend, it's not been easy   to go over the changes, and try to move on...

You left us with a dream so alive, a passion to fulfill, a message! You instilled us with the courage to stand tall and look to the world unashamed, to push onward, to live every moment of it, to always do better than the time before and your presence within us so bright, so alive still.. now  and forever.

We miss you Carl, we miss your sense of humor, your presence so powerful and the love of life that you made us realize. We miss your incredible voice and your caring presence, your foolish jokes and your understanding glances.

Tonight as the dawn closes another year without you the day seems a little darker. But I know you are forever in our souls, forever in our minds, and we WILL make your dreams come alive! With you, my friend, there is no wall too high...

As you took your own path, so we must go our own... but I feel your presence within and it makes me work all that much harder!

We love you my friend,

Hero's Welcome

He gets a hero's welcome
where ever he goes.
Sharing with everyone
whatever he knows.

I know someday
he'll be by my side again.
And I know someday
I'll finally understand.

When choosing your own path
let no one stand in your way.
These are the things he would
usually say.

I know someday
he'll be by my side again.
I know someday
I'll finally understand.

One in a lifetime
comes a man like this.
The dreams that we shared together
will always be missed.
This is my friend, my brother.
I'll never forget.
These are the best times
we ever had.

This song was written and dedicated to the memory of the late, great, Carl "The Voice" Albert.

Rest in peace, my friend,

Your brothers in VR

And if I go

And if I go
while you’re still here,
know that I live on.
Vibrating to a different measure
behind a veil you cannot see through.
You will not see me,
so you must have faith.

I wait for the day
when we can soar together again.
Until then,
live your life to it’s fullest.
And when you need me…
just whisper my name in your heart,
I will be there.

Find Your Way Home

written by Mark McGee

Aces up, the bird has landed.
Never flown so high before.
With hope that you'll awaken,
open your eyes, feel us here.

Now I think about you day by day.
God show me how to chase these blues away.

Find your way home.
We wait for you to come.
Blue skies here and we'll be
there like the sun.
Find your way home.

Real life, thrown to the wind,
disappears into the clouds.
Held captive in a new dimension,
going up or coming down.

The legacy you left behind
will never fade away.
Through us you will live on and on
until we meet again.

Find your way home.
We wait for you to come.
Blue skies here and we'll be
there like the sun.
Find your way home.

We wait for you to come.
The door is open wide
clear the smoke away
Find your way home.

How Do You Live Your "Dash"

I read of a man who stood to speak
at the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on her tombstone
from the beginning...to the end.

He noted that first came her date of birth
and spoke the following date with tears,
but he said what mattered most of all was the dash between those years. (1900-1970)

For that dash represents all the time
that she spent alive on earth...
and now only those who loved her
know what that little line is worth.

For it matters not, how much we own;
the cars...the house...the cash,
what matters is how we live and love
and how we spend our dash.

So think about this long and hard...
are there things you'd like to change?
For you never know how much time is left, that can still be rearranged.

If we could just slow down enough
to consider what's true and real,
and always try to understand
the way other people feel.

And be less quick to anger, and show appreciation more and love the people
in our lives like we’ve never loved before.
If we treat each other with respect
and more often wear a smile...
remembering that this special dash
might only last a little while.

So, when your eulogy's being read with your life's actions to rehash...
would you be proud of the things they say about how you spent your dash?
