VR Announces New Lineup

Vicious Rumors new Axe man Kiyoshi Morgan completes the 2008 line up. Kiyo is a long time SF bay area pro playing lead guitar in several tribute bands covering styles of Slayer,Priest,Maiden & Alice in chains.With the support of Gibson Guitars and Sfarzo Strings Kiyo has found an identity in Vicious Rumors as an old school Rock and Metal guitarist with powerful anthem riffs and blistering yet musical leads.

"Kiyo just fit in and sounded great!! Our guitar styles blend really well and this guy can shred!! Our new line up is as strong as ever. I cant wait to unleash the new VR beast" Geoff Thorpe said on Kiyo and the new line up.

VR New Live Dates Announced

Vicious Rumors has just added these 4 killer shows. First a headline date at the Kennel Club in Sacramento on 3/22 and then a double header on 3/29. VR joins Testament, Sadus and Laaz Rockit for a crushing bay area show and line up. Then later that night VR will headline the Britannia Arms in Cupertino. Then back with Testament on 3/30. Don't miss the first shows with the killer new line up. The VR ball picks up speed with more dates coming soon.

Vicious Rumors New Blood And The Ball Keeps Rolling

Vicious Rumors is proud to announce Ronnie Stixx as our new lead singer. The Ball keeps rolling with a new CD and tour dates to follow . Ronnie showed up and blew the band away with his powerful voice. The first night he sang with us it was like he was in the band for years.It was amazing Geoff said.

Ronnie was born in Los Angels and raised in San Antonio Texas.He has made a name for himself in the metal world with a vocal style that is melodic and aggressive. Ronnie's main influence's are such great vocalist as Carl Albert (VR) Tony Harnell (TNT) and Ronnie James Dio. Ronnie is no stranger to the big stage performing at major festivals through out Europe and the USA .He has fronted such bands as England's Shadow Keep and Americas Divine Ruin.The VR Machine is back!!! A new CD and new Blood. Major world wide touring is in the works.The first show is March 29 at the Britannia Arms in Cupertino Ca.

PRESS RELEASE

2008 brings VR back in the studio for a new CD. Pre-production has been in full swing. 12 new songs will be recorded. The production team of Geoff Thorpe and Juan Urteaga at Trident studios in Pacheco Ca. will record and mix the new disk. After the high critical acclaim of the Warball Cd, VR strikes back with another killer classic power metal offering. Some of the tracks to look for are Murderball, From Fear to Eternity & Over the Edge.

The hunt for the next VR lead singer has been on. Warriors from all over the world have stepped up to the plate!! We have had some great vocalist try out and it looks like we have a hard choice to make. We plan to finish all the additions and announce our new singer next month. The VR machine keeps rolling as the ball picks up speed!! .Shows are being booked. We look forward to unleashing the new line up soon.

PRESS RELEASE

Vicious Rumors would like to thank all the fans and friends who supported the band over the last year on the World War Tour. We had a great time with everyone at all the shows in the USA, Europe & Japan. As the Warball tour ends the band is now in pre production for a new studio CD to be released next year.


Even tho the band has gone through many changes over the years VR has maintained a solid force in US power metal over the last 25 years. VR has already written several new songs for the new CD to follow up Warball . Due to artistic differences singer James Rivera is no longer in VR. James was let go after the European tour in Sept '07. Recently James Rivera has issued a statement saying VR was Broken up after his departure with a list of other personal problems. We understand that Helstar is his true love and passion and wish them all the best.

VR moves forward to next year with a new CD and a new lineup.After 25 years, 12 Cd's & countless tours in no way has Vicious Rumors split up. You cant kill rock n roll..

Look for VR on tour with a new CD in 2008.

The rumors are true!! VR has just confirmed 2 shows at this years Bang Your Head Festival 07 in Germany with Heaven & Hell (Black Sabbath w/Dio) On June 22nd 2007.

VR will also Headline the Bang Your Head Club party on June 21st 2007. Fans can vote for there fave VR songs at the BYH web site. VR returns to Europe This summer @ BYH 07. VR will do a headline tour of Europe this September with Agent Steel and After All. Don't miss VR and the new CD Warball when they roll through your town on the World War Tour 07.

VR has just confirmed the Milwaukee Metal Festival on May 12. This is the first time for VR at one of americas most well known fetivals. The World War Tour Rolls on through the USA this summer. Vicious Rumors new CD Warball is Rolling full speed World wide as VR get ready to tour the USA.VR has already toured Europe with Beyond Fear in Nov 06 and got rave reviews on there live show.

Warball was #4 in Rock Hard Magazine and #4 in Heavy Magazine in Germany Top 5 in Arrdshock Magazine Holland and 8.4 of 10 in Burrn Magazine And a full spread in Young Guitar in Japan. Journalist Fish from KNAC.com called Warball a A Sherman tank on a roller coaster!!!!! Mark Gromen of BWBK put Warball in his top 6 of 06.

Stephen Goodwin Has been touring with VR on the Bass and will fill in for Dave Starr who recently left the band. We wish Dave good luck with his new Group WildeStarr.

VR Starts the US tour at home Feb 23 505 club in Santa Rosa Ca and Sat Feb 24 at Roosters Roadhouse in Alameda Ca. Dates in March are booked in Texas with Eternity black & Omen. Dates in Florida with Crimson Glory and gigs in Ohio with guest Law of Destruction featuring members of Beyond Fear.The ball rolls on to Puerto Rico,LA, San Diego,Las Vegas & All over the US In 2007
